GastQuote:Sunday’s premiere of AMC’s ’80s-set computer drama drew a disappointing 1.2 million viewers and a 0.34 demo rating. As a point of comparison, the network’s Revolutionary War saga Turn opened to 2.1 million viewers in April. (It’s worth noting that AMC made Halt‘s premiere episode available in advance, on AMC.com and Tumblr.) | tvline.comDann brauch ich mich so oder so nicht mehr mit der Serie befassen…

AMC’s ‚Halt & Catch Fire‘ Finale Draws Near Low 574K Viewers

GastSieht vielleicht doch nicht ganz so schlecht aus [-o<
Whether or not AMC decides to bring Halt And Catch Fire back for a second season will of course be influenced by how many people were actually watching the 1980s set tech drama. If Live + 3 numbers for H&CF’s August 3 freshman season finale are any indication, a lot of fans were watching after the fact. Leaping up 71% from its Live +Same Day results, Episode 10 of the Lee Pace-starrer was watched by 981,000 viewers. To make a comparison to a show that AMC did cancel, that’s much better than the 869,000 that Low Winter Sun drew in Live + 3 from its finale on October 6, 2013 […].

GastThe trip back to the future on Sunday did not attract a lot of initial passengers it seems. The Season 2 premiere of the 1980s set Halt And Catch Fire on May 31 on AMC drew a total of 659,000 viewers with 262,000 among adults 18-49, according to Nielsen. Compared to the results for H&CF’s 10 PM June 1, 2014 debut, Sunday’s Season 2 ratings were down 45% in overall viewers for AMC and 39% among the 18-49s.

However, on the flipside, the Season 2 debut results of the dawn of the digital age series are up 15% in total viewers and the key demo in Live + Same Day numbers from the show’s August 3 Season 1 finale of last year.
Immerhin, hoffentlich bringts was.

GastUnfortunately, the August 2 numbers don’t look good for Halt And Catch Fire, even with strong but diminished results from lead-in Humans. The Season 2 finale of the struggling AMC series pulled in just 485,000 on Sunday night.
While not an all-time low for the show – that was the 451,000 of June 21 – the August 2 viewership is down 16% from the 574,000 that watched the Season 1 ender on August 3 last year. Sunday’s overall viewership stumbled 17% from its July 26 and also dropped a 26% from the 659,000 that tuned in for the revamped H&CF’s Season 2 debut on May 31.
