Lifetime has greenlighted to pilot Unreal, a drama series project inspired by Sarah Gertrude Shapiro’s award-winning independent short film Sequin Raze, which starred Ashley Williams, Anna Camp and Frances Conroy (check out that trailer below). Marti Noxon (Mad Men, Fright Night) and Shapiro wrote Unreal, which goes behind-the-scenes of a hit competition dating show to follow the experiences of a young staffer whose sole job is to manipulate her relationships with (and among) the contestants to get the vital dramatic and outrageous footage the program’s producers demand. What ensues is a humorous, yet vexing, look at what happens in the world of unscripted television, where being a contestant can be vicious and producing it is a whole other reality.

Also ich hab die Staffel 1 mal durchgeguckt und muss zugeben, dass ich ziemlich begeistert bin.
Also es ist bestimmt nicht für jeden etwas, aber hinter die Fassade einer Reality-TV-Show zu sehen, fand ich richtig klasse (klar, Fiktion). Das würde in Deutschland einigen Leuten, die glauben, dass alles echt ist, was im TV läuft auch mal ganz gut tun. Ich mag Shiri Appleby super gerne als Rachel, tolle Schauspielerin und die Serie hat mich insgesamt super überrascht. Ich dachte, ich schau mir nur eben den Piloten an und dann gleich wieder weg, aber dann war die Staffel auch schnell schon weg. 😮 Super witzig, krass, aufgeladen und toll erzählt! Wenn das jemand gucken möchte, ich würde demnächst nochmal einen Rerun vor Staffel 2 starten und würde mich freuen, wenn ich nicht alleine wäre :p
